Sections of the skin of the mid dorsal nose as well as the right cheek both show traumatized seborrheic keratoses characterized by verrucous hyperplasia composed of basaloid cells with a mixture of squamoid cells. Keratin-filled invaginations and small horn cysts are seen. Nests of squamous eddies are present.
Sections of the skin of the right clavicle (Slides "C") show a well-differentiated invasive squamous cell carcinoma which extends to the lateral surgical margins of resection (see digital image). The latter neoplasm appears well-differentiated and forms keratin. No evidence anaplastic transformation is identified.
