GROSS DESCRIPTION


Endometrium - Received in formalin, the specimen consists of
1.3 mls of mucoid hemorrhagic tissue. Totally submitted with a request for levels. Submitted request for stains.

MICROSCOPIC DESCRIPTION


The endometrial biopsy shows intact fragments of glands and stroma. Many of the glands are dilated and stellate. The gland-to-stroma ratio in some areas is increased. The lining epithelium is columnar with mitotic figures. The surrounding stroma is cellular and edematous.


FINAL DIAGNOSIS


Endometrium, biopsy
- DISORDERED PROLIFERATIVE ENDOMETRIUM.
